Personal project: Old craft in young hands pt. 5

For my current personal project “old craft in young hands” I accompanied young and talented stonemason Jan Dittmeier during his day in his workshop close to Würzburg. The project itself contains of various reportages about young craftsmen interpreting traditional crafts in a modern way.

Check out the rest of the story HERE.

Group show "Lost in Transformation" in Oberstdorf

Along with 16 fellow photographers, all members of Germany’s association of photographers BFF, I will exhibit a series of images during the Fotogipfel Oberstdorf festival starting today and until Sunday 30th of June.

Creating artwork for the group show “Lost in Transformation” with one single camera - a Linhof Master Technika shooting on 4x5 inch film - most of us had to take a step back and literally learn how to setup and take a good photo with a large format camera again. In my case, the only time I used a camera like this was more than ten years ago at my first job as an assistant.

The results definitely let you see a lot of care, reduction and concept - swing by if you are in town and check out our beautiful exhibition! (at LOFT Oberstdorf!)

There will be a screening of our BFF Mastertapes in the location’s cinema on Thursday 27th 11.30am to 4.30pm and our official opening with lots of participating photographers present from 4.30 pm to 7pm.

Supporting the future of football!

Football has been my first love. As a child I always wanted to be a professional, but in the end I “only” got to the point where I get assigned to meet and shoot professional Bundesliga players.

So, I’m happy to help some talented young guys playing at my home club with a little sponsorship and I hope that some of them get the chance to fulfill their dreams.

Meet the U10 team of SV Hörgertshausen! They won the game by 15:1 by the way…
